Covid-19 alert England – College to move to amber from Monday
Following our member update earlier today, we are sending you this member alert.
This week's 10 Downing Street Covid-19 briefings demonstrated that in England the government's five key Covid-19 tests are being met and as a result the lockdown would be eased starting 15 June.
Following the news, the College of Optometrists has announced that from Monday 15 June optometry practices across England can move to the amber phase in its guidance. The College has said this will enable practices to provide needs or symptom led patient care, while still prioritising essential and urgent care.
The College will publish a more detail later today, which will be accessible here.
