Primary eye care services enter amber phase UK-wide

The College of Optometrists has today confirmed that primary eye care services across the UK have now entered the amber phase of the Covid-19 pandemic.

At this stage, plans to extend restrictions in Leicester do not affect the College’s amber alert.

College of Optometrists President Colin Davidson FCOptom has aso interviewed David O’Sullivan, Chief Optometric Adviser Wales, and Raymond Curran, Health of Ophthalmic Services Northern Ireland. The interviews cover lessons learned during the first phase of the pandemic and how these might influence the future of local services. Watch the Wales interview.
