Covid-19 update – England
In our update on Saturday, we set out how primary eye care remains an essential service, and opticians' premises (classified as essential retail) can meet the nation's eye health needs throughout the November lockdown in England. The College of Optometrists also confirmed this would be the case on Monday.
The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (No. 4) Regulations 2020 now confirm the government's intention for opticians and audiology services to remain open as essential services during the November lockdown.
