Invitation to FODO members to take part in discussions about enhanced primary eye care services
Last year, we published The future of primary eye care - principles and priorities following a detailed consultation with members.
Since then, we have continued to horizon scan, manage risk and maximise opportunities on your behalf. Our work has included working with NHS commissioners, policymakers and politicians from all parties.
We have made clear that we must end avoidable sight loss due to delays in NHS care and that the best way to achieve this is through:
- Frictionless digital connectivity
- Expanding enhanced primary eye care services in all communities in England.
I am now writing to invite you to participate in the next phase of our work to help transform eye care in England.
As a FODO member, you are part of a community that provides 80% of NHS-funded primary eye care in England. So, you are best placed to shape the future of eye care for the 57 million people that live in England. To participate, please complete this short survey by 5pm on 5 July.
Please also pass this on to colleagues in your organisation who may also be interested. Views from all FODO members are warmly encouraged.
Kind regards
Harjit Sandhu
